Çan Faculty of Applied Sciences was established as Çan School of Applied Sciences under Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University with the Decree of the Council of Ministers dated 25/6/2012 and numbered 2012/3363. Çan Faculty of Applied Sciences operates in the same building as Çan Vocational School  in Çan, Çanakkale. Çan Faculty of Applied Sciences shares the physical facilities of Çan Vocational School. Çan UBF first started its education and training life by admitting 60 students to the Department of Occupational Safety and Health in 2016. In 2017, the Department of International Trade and Business Administration was opened. Currently, it continues its education and training activities with two undergraduate programs, 414 students, 6 faculty members, 2 research assistants, 5 administrative and 2 auxiliary staff. At the end of the spring semester of 2020, Çan Faculty of Applied Sciences gave its first graduates as the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, At the end of the 2021 spring semester, the Department of International Trade and Business Administration gave its first graduates. Çan UBYO became official as a result of the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette dated 26.07.2022 and numbered 31904 after the approval of the Faculty Transformation Decision Proposal taken by the ÇOMU Senate on 05.01.2022 by the Council of Higher Education, and the Çan School of Applied Sciences was transformed into Çan Faculty of Applied Sciences (Çan UBF). Our school, which aims to continuously improve the quality of education in line with its mission to train qualified graduates who have the knowledge and skills required by vocational education at international standards, has an academic structure that constantly improves itself with participation in national-international congresses, symposiums, workshops and research projects.

ALL EDUCATION AREAS

Classrooms; In our school, there are 8 classrooms for both departments, two 109 square meters and two 91 square meters in total. Thus, a total of 800 square meters of classrooms are allocated. All eight classrooms have a projection device infrastructure; large classrooms have a capacity of 109 people and small classrooms have a capacity of 81 people. The total capacity of these classrooms is 760 people.

Meeting Room; There is a meeting room belonging to Çan Vocational School in our school and it is equipped to meet the needs.

Conference Hall; Our School has a modern conference hall, where scientific activities such as conferences, seminars, panels and presentations are held, and where the furnishings and sound system are adequately designed. In addition to our lecturers, experts in their fields can find the opportunity to exhibit their scientific studies in our conference hall.

Our lecturers can also easily conduct research by using the internet service from their study rooms. Periodicals, e-journals, e-journals, e-theses, e-newspapers and e-books can be accessed through a large number of electronic databases. In addition, programmes such as Turnitin, iThenticate and Mendeley are available to users. Face-to-face and online trainings on electronic databases and various software programmes are organised within the university.

Social Areas

There is a student canteen at the entrance of the building and necessary playground equipment for leisure time activities. Within the campus area, there is a dining hall and a canteen where our students and employees can have lunch and dinner under hygienic conditions. There is a basketball court where sports activities take place.

Student Societies: Our department has one student club named Occupational Safety and Health and Entrepreneurial Minds Community.
