About The Department

The aim of the Department of International Trade and Business Administration is to teach how to manage national and international businesses in the globalized economic environment of our world. Graduates of the department will learn to manage businesses operating in different cultures, different countries, and different continents, as well as to cope with the challenges of entering new global markets. With this perspective, our department strives to train graduates who can analyze the commercial potential of the world with scientific methods and turn situational advantages into opportunities.

Our graduates will be able to address controversial issues in international trade, identify the rationale and means of operating in foreign markets, formulate their own international business plans, and interpret the factors that will drive the performance of businesses in the global economy. Thus, graduates who successfully complete the International Trade and Business program will have completed an innovative program that will help them develop the trade and business competencies needed to start their own businesses or to have a successful career in international business.

In addition to the basic academic courses in the first two semesters of our education process, in which foreign language is planned to be compulsory for a total of four semesters; in addition to basic academic courses; subjects such as law, business administration, accounting, marketing and economics will be introduced. Starting from the third semester, compulsory courses in international trade and business administration will be given in accordance with the purpose of the program. In addition to the compulsory courses, students have the opportunity to receive education by determining their specialization areas with elective courses prepared separately for each semester in accordance with their interests.

The principles to be applied in undergraduate education at Çan Faculty of Applied Sciences are regulated within the framework of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations.
